Etten-Leur, Netherlands – Future Connections, the innovative agentic-first provider of comprehensive customer experience, assurance, RAN optimisation and automation solutions, today announced the inclusion of its rApp portfolio in the Nokia SMO Marketplace.
Future Connections’ rApps are software applications designed to optimise and manage the Radio Access Network (RAN) within the Open RAN architecture, handling processes that do not require immediate response time. The company’s suite of rApps is now part of the Nokia SMO Marketplace, aimed at offering a wide range of third-party rApps to operators embracing Open RAN.
The Nokia SMO Marketplace has been officially launched at MWC Barcelona ’26, the GSMA’s flagship global event for telecommunications innovation. Operators using Nokia SMO, Nokia’s automation platform for Open RAN, can now choose from a selection of Future Connections’ rApps for their Open RAN deployment to manage tasks for network optimisation.
Alejandro Medina, CTO at Future Connections, commented: “As Open RAN adoption accelerates, operators are seeking powerful and agile solutions that address specific deployment, efficiency and optimisation challenges. Our rApps are built precisely to deliver that: they improve network performance, reduce energy consumption, lower OPEX and enhance customer experience. Having our rApps as part of the Nokia SMO Marketplace means that operators now have easier access to these benefits, accelerating their path to an efficient, scalable Open RAN environment”.
