NIx CN Probes

Enjoy a single, unified observability plane across your entire O-RAN and 5G Core stack

The observability foundation for cloud native 5G networks

NIx CN Probes provide the trusted data foundation that intelligent and autonomous network operations demand. They are what modern 5G networks – disaggregated, virtualised and cloud-native across O-RAN and 5G Core – need in order to remove blind spots typical of traditional hardware probes and equip the NetOps teams with comprehensive, non-siloed and on-time data.

Core NIx CN Probes capabilities

NIx CN Probes are lightweight eBPF probes deployed as Kubernetes daemonsets across every node in your O-RAN and 5G Core infrastructure. They capture a telemetry stream far richer than any hardware probe or agent-based solution. Running inside the Linux kernel, they capture every packet, every system call, every interface interaction — across O-RU, O-DU, O-CU, RIC, AMF, SMF, UPF, and every interface in between — in real time, at wire speed. NIx CN Probes provide:

User plane
visibility

Full data path instrumentation per bearer and slice

Control plane
decode

Deep protocol decode across
all signalling interfaces

RAN interface
instrumentation

End-to-end RAN visibility
from radio unit to RIC

Cloud infrastructure
layer

Kubernetes-aware telemetry linking NF to compute

Full network coverage

NIx CN Probes instrument every significant component and interface in the 5G stack, without modifying a single line of network function code.

What NIx CN Probes see

All telemetry provided by the NIx CN Probes is correlated by flow, session and UE, giving NetOps the ability to trace any fault from the radio interface all the way to the internet breakout in a single query.

NIx platform foundation

NIx CN Probes is a standalone product delivering immediate observability and operational value. Its telemetry output feeds contextually into NIx CEM and NIx Agents, creating a unified, AI-ready data layer across the NIx Platform, the type of trusted data foundation that intelligent and autonomous network operations demand.

Data collection layer

eBPF probes as Kubernetes daemonsets and Kernel-level telemetry across O-RAN and 5G Core correlated by flow, session and UE

Feeds into

Advanced
CEM

Customer experience management enriched with accurate, real-time network-to-UE correlation and proactive issue detection

Feeds into

Autonomous operations

Trusted, granular inputs provided to AI agents for autonomous fault resolution and closed-loop network operations

Why use NIx CN Probes

Fault isolation in minutes, not hours

Automated, end-to-end carrelation replaces manual, siloed investigation. NetOps teams get to root cause faster across both RAN and Core, dramatically reducing MTTR without adding headcount.

Zero hardware procurement or rack space

Deploy as a Kubernetes daemonset. No hardware to procure, no fixed probe points to plan around. Coverage scales automatically as new Network Functions are deployed to the cluster.

Full RAN-to-core trace on demand

Any UE session, any interface, any time. Trace a call quality issue from the
O-RU all the way to the internet breakout in a single correlated query, without switching tools or stitching data manually.

Kernel-level depth, zero NF code changes

eBPF runs inside the Linux kernel. No agents to install inside NFs, no NF source code to modify. Instrumentation is completely transparent to the Network Functions being observed.

AI-ready data for autonomous operations

Pre-correlated telemetry by flow, session and UE feeds directly into NIx Agents, providing the trusted, high-fidelity data foundation that AI-driven autonomous operations demand to act confidently.

Cloud-vendor and NF-vendor agnostic

Deployable across any O-Cloud environment and any NF vendor. Compliant with O-RAN Alliance specifications and designed for open, disaggregated architectures.
